For the next episode of our series QUIZINE IN QUARANTINE, we keep it nice and simple – The perfect scrambled eggs on toast.

QIQ’s Gourmet scrambled eggs on toast.

Whether you have it for breakfast, or a mid-day snack (we won’t judge), everyone has ‘their way’ of putting a scrambled eggs on toast together and here, we’ll show you our way.

So simple you might be asking yourselves ‘how much better could this version be?’ Right?…Wrong!

Wait till you try it!

INGREDIENTS (serves 1)
2 medium sized eggs
100g butter
1 tbsp Crème fraîche
1 slice of bread (whichever bread you fancy)
Salt and pepper to taste
As much cheese and chive you like/need for garnish

1. Crack both eggs into a bowl and whisk away

2. Place knob of butter in hot pan and allow to melt

3. Once butter has finished melting, add whisked eggs into pan and begin stirring

4. Stir till around 50% cooked and take pan off the heat.

5. Continue to stir to a nice soft fluffy texture. If your eggs are solid and rubbery, you’ve over cooked them!

6. Once done, add your salt and pepper.

7. Now it’s time for the Crème fraîche, add and mix with eggs.

8. Place eggs on toast of choice, with love and care.

9. Garish with cheese of choice (we like to use a mature cheddar for a nice tang!)

10. Finally add a sprinkle of chives on top….enjoy!
